History
Ligao East Central School is
located in Barangay Tuburan, Ligao
City. It is at the junction road going
to Legazpi and Tabaco City. Its
distance is approximately two(2)
kilometers from the city proper. It
has an area of six thousand one
hundred seventy-five (6,175 sq.m.)
square meters donated by Mr.
Damaso Garcia, a resident of
Tuburan, Ligao City. It was
established as a primary school in
1958 named Tuburan Elementary
School and became a complete
elementary school in 1963 as Ligao
Central School and changed to
Ligao East Central School.
The school is also one of the
fifty-seven pilot schools in the
country implementing Special
Science Elementary School (SSES)
Program of the Department of
Education. Being an SSES, it serves
as pilot site of the ICT enhanced
curriculum model.
School programs and projects were
realized through the efforts,
dedication and concern of the
parents, pupils, teachers, barangay
officials and other stakeholders.
This school is a public elementary
school implementing the K to 12
curriculum that provides basic
quality education to all clientele of
Barangay Tuburan, Bay and
Calzada and other nearby
barangays.
